Foundations for Whole Leadership

Rooted in Servant Leadership, Seeing Things Whole creates pathways for individuals and organizations to approach success through a multidimensional lens. This introductory course provides an overview of the philosophy and tools to contemplate your own leadership practice in relationship to your broader impact.

Description

Seeing Things Whole is a leadership framework that cultivates whole leaders and thriving organizations to positively impact the common good. Whole leaders reflect deeply on their own values and strengths as a means to take initiative and empower others. They thoroughly consider how their actions create impact and take a holistic view when making critical decisions.

The threefold model of Seeing Things Whole will advance your development as a leader through the use of concrete tools, reflection and peer feedback. Utilizing a multidimensional lens, Seeing Things Whole grows your leadership and capacity to empower others while creating a larger benefit to society through the support of individuals, employees, consumers, boards, and beyond.

Foundations for Whole Leadership is an introductory course that provides an overview of the philosophical roots of Seeing Things Whole thinking in Servant Leadership, an in-depth look at Seeing Things Whole's Threefold Model of Individual Life, and opportunities to apply the model to your own leadership. Through deep reflection and real-life application of the model, you will walk away with a framework for tackling individual challenges in the workplace and life.

This is the first course in a Whole Leadership Development Series being offered by the Reell Office of Seeing Things Whole and Augsburg’s Center for Adult and Continuing Education. After completing the course you will be invited to join a community of practitioners during Seeing Things Whole Roundtables hosted monthly at Augsburg University.
